The Veteran’s Community Project is a non-profit organization that gets homeless vets off the street and back on their feet with an amazing success rate by placing them in a village of tiny homes.
In 2023, CD Tim McCracken came to me with a wild guerrilla media idea: hack AirBnb and VRBO listings to highlight the problem of veteran homelessness. Our target audience of affluent veterans, instead of being taken to beautiful photos of a picturesque AirBnb, was shown the harsh reality for homeless vets and asked for a donation.
We sold it through to U.S. Army veteran and VCP President, Jason Kander, who approved it with characteristic fearlessness. Amazing, Gold-CLIO winning case study video, narrated by Kander, below:
